Ever heard of the Pygmy hippopotamus? Neither had I until I visited the Guinean forests of West Africa. I was also surprised to learn that this is home to a quarter of Africa’s mammal population. The Pygmy hippopotamus is unfortunately on the list of endangered species as well as the Jentik’s duiker. Like most forests, you will find an array of bird life. Fortunately, by organizing a car hire, I had ample space to load my recording and video editing equipment. Places like these are of such importance, as we only have a limited amount of time with nature such as this. The human population has a nasty habit of destroying all that it touches.
